The Man Without A Nickname

Since this is obviously my first post I thought I'd write up a little bit about myself and what I do for a living....or just for life in general. Unlike many of you, when I say I'm not human I'm 100% serious and being truthful. I was born with vivid memories of my own labour. Odd? It gets worse, but in an attempt to not scare you off I'll leave that as it is.

My name if you're randomly reading this is Joshua Brizan. I am a freelance photographer, graphic designer, musician, spoken word poet and novelist.

I've been privately enthused in the arts for probably my entire life.

Photography
I've only recently started photography seriously, probably about 4 months now, but I've been in love with it for a little less than a year. My love for it led me to start up a small "side-business" where i further fell more in love with and decided to make it my career choice. This is where JBphotography or J. Brizan Photography was formed. With a lot of support and help from great friends such as Ken Sambury and Eeempire, I've found myself improving significantly in skill and professional ability.

Graphic Design
Those who've known me for more than a couple years know that I'm an art fanatic, with the exception that I'm horrible at drawing freehand. I acquired Adobe Photoshop probably sometime in 2006 and the first and only thing I ever really learnt was how to change the colours of anime characters' hair. Please don't ask why, sad times. Anyways, about a year after, when I graduated from secondary school I had some extra time on my hands in addition to my interest in doing complex logos and photomanipulations. Since then I've delved way deeper making posters and logos for international bands and companies. Check out my deviantart profile and gallery if you'd like to see what I do.

Music
Much like all other aspects of everything I love, music has engrossed itself onto almost every concept and part of my life. I literally can't function for more than a couple minutes without music. I feel music in everything I do. Whenever I'm not listening i'm always tapping at something whether it's on a desk or something in my head. I started "learning" piano when I was probably about 7. Never got far but I started back teaching myself a couple years ago. I also started singing and songwriting earlier in the year. Hopefully that develops into something else soon.

Spoken Word/Prose
Where it all began.
